The Bestselling weekend reading list!

"There is no such thing as a child who hates to read; there are only children who have not found the right book."  says Frank SerafiniThis holds true in case of adults as well.

And how does one go about finding the right book? The one that  they will like to read and enjoy again and again?

Well, the simplest way would be to start out with the most obvious choices - the library, the bookstore, and then of course, the bestseller lists!

So this weekend, we thought we would bring you a list of some of the books that have been on the "best selling list" in the recent past. We sure hope that this list helps you find a book that you will love to read again and again...or even find an author you would love to follow!

1)All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
Genre: Historical Fiction

Lets start this week's bestselling list with this Pulitzer Prize winning book of 2015. A novel that is said to have been ten years in the writing, this beautiful and dazzling book is totally worth it! A simple 'boy meets girl' story, set against the backdrop of World War II, in occupied France; where one of the protagonists is blind! Is that enough to intrigue you? Well if not, then this book promises an amazing and chilling journey through the heart of Hitler Youth into the life of a young blind girl that will let you feel a very different world from the one we live in - at so many different levels. A must read if you are looking for a cracker of a best seller!

2)The Girl on The Train by Paula Hawkins

Genre: Psychological Thriller, Mystery

Imagine taking the same train, at the same time, along the same track, every day to and from work. Its the same monotony, the same houses along the tracks, the same people to see every day...And then imagine trying to build imaginary profiles of these same people you see in the houses along the track every day...what if one of them was an investment banker? A painter? Oh there's a little baby arriving in a family...and there's a happily married couple...and then, suddenly, one of these same people you built imaginary profiles of, disappears! Thrilling enough to pick up the book as soon as possible, right?

3)Memory Man by David Baldacci

Genre: Mystery, Crime Fiction

From Sean King to John Puller to Will Robie, David Baldacci has given us brilliant characters that are each remarkable and extraordinary. But of all these exceptional characters, Amos Decker is by far the most unforgettable one! And there is a reason for that too - he has an exceptional gift! What if you could never forget a single thing, ever? No matter how small a detail in your past, you remember it all....only, you cannot remember the one person you rubbed the wrong way. And then this person goes ahead and kills people, blaming you for compelling him to do that! {Shudder} right? Well, Baldacci's latest thriller will have you turning pages; involved in the investigation along with the police, and of course, the unforgettable Amos Decker!

4)The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty

Genre: General Fiction, Drama

What if a wife found a letter from her husband that has to be opened only after his death....while the husband is still alive? What if the letter is a confession by the husband of a mistake..a mistake that, if revealed, would wreck their family and the lives of other people as well? This bestselling book by Liane Moriarty is much more than a mystery - it is a book about things that we know about our loved ones, things that we think we know; and things we do not know! An "unputdownable" read from a bestselling author; and a must read for those who cannot resist a good page-turner!

5)The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt

Genre: General Fiction, Drama

And finally, we end this week's bestselling weekend reads list with the book that won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 2014. This is the story of a young boy, alone and rudderless in a big city, with only a memory of his devoted mother to cling on to; surviving and getting drawn to a world that is mysterious and alien and glamorous and dangerous at the same time! The Goldfinch is an epic journey of survival, loss, obsession, self-invention and above all - fate. A must read if you are looking for something phenomenal to read this weekend!

(PS: The book is a tad bit long....but you won't notice it because you will be busy turning the pages as fast as you can!)

And that wraps up our bestselling weekend reading list for this week! What other extraordinary books have you read lately? Do let us know. Until then...
